Bravely and gently

ALMOST since the start of InterestEng., readers have laughed, cried, loved and been inspired by the writing of students from the School of Leadership, Afghanistan. The co-founder and President of SOLA is Shabana Basij-Rasikh, known to her students as Shabana-jan [dear]. She is one of National Geographic’s “Emerging Explorers of 2014” — an amazing honor given to a very, very few people. We knew readers would love learning more about this remarkable young woman who walks the earth both bravely and gently to change her country—and world. Below is the short National Geographic video about Shabana. To read the entire story, please click HERE.  It’s a story that will inspire you all year.  —The Editors
