In September, InterestEng. ran a story explaining how, this year, students are being asked to write short stories of 100 words or less about a particular photo as a fun way of learning how to be better writers. Readers enjoyed it so much that we decided to share a few more.

Story #1:

I have special socks for parties.  My socks are different than other people’s socks because I like to wear two different socks. I know it is funny for those who are reading this story, but I feel sorry for you because it is fun to wear different socks! —Zamzama (Afghanistan)

Story #2:

In the cold winter, just before Christmas, I washed some socks. I dried them on the clothes line. Then I had hard socks. Now Santa can’t put presents in the socks. I don’t like little presents. BIG are better! —Polina (Russia)

Story #3:

My socks love to dance even when I am not wearing them and there is no music.  I have very happy socks. —Zhenya (Russia)
