KURDISTAN is famous for sewing.  We make very beautiful socks, blouses, and rank and chokha. These are Kurdish men’s clothes made of maraz, a type of goat hair. In a very beautiful place called Hawraman, in Kurdistan, which is full of mountains, they make a type of shoes called klash. These special shoes are very old. They are a traditional symbol of our culture.  They are just for men. The bottom of the shoes are made with cloth fabric.  The top is made of heavy wool thread and three other materials. They have many great specialities.  For example.  They do not get hot and do not have any terrible perfumes. Also, there is not a right or left shoe!  That means you can wear each of them on either foot!
