City symphonies

Story by Chia.  Native language, Kurdish.

NOT long ago we had a holiday in Kurdistan. But what holiday? I was so busy and tired! I had a guest to care for and I had all my regular work to do. Finally my guest left and I was free. I went to a mountain near my city where I could hike to the top and be all alone. The sounds of the city came to me like a river rushing by.  In one place there was music. People were dancing at a wedding. In another place I heard the sounds of some workers working.  I heard cars rushing by.  It was amazing: the sounds actually had a harmony to them like a symphony!  I breathed in deeply and let spill out everything bad from my day.

Here is another quite amazing “city symphony”.
