Happy New Year
Yuqi’s native language is Chinese. He is beginning his senior year of high school in America and his third year of writing for InterestEng. Yuqi was also a special member of InterestEng.’s International Civics Class last year.
I WAS born and raised in a beautiful place—China. The thing I love most about China is its culture. China has thousands of years of history and tons of significant artifacts. But the most interesting thing is Chinese characters. Unlike English, that just has letters to combine into words, each Chinese character has its meaning and story. This is just one illustration of why Chinese culture is so attractive. —Yuqi
